Clarksville native named Senior Sailor of the Year – Main Street Media of Tennessee
SASEBO, NAGASAKI, JAPAN – Retail Specialist 1st Class Jonathan Goulsby from Clarksville, Tennessee, assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47), is awarded USS Rushmore (LSD 47) Senior Sailor of the Year, during a ceremony at Commander Fleet Activities Sasebo, April 11. The Navy’s Sailor of the Year program recognizes outstanding Sailors who best represent the ideals of the professional Sailor and the Navy. Rushmore, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. U.S. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
