The body of a missing Washington state woman was found encased in concrete and her handyman has been taken into custody after being called a “person of interest,” authorities said Tuesday
Investigators had been looking for Marcia Norman, 82, since April 4 and detectives “identified Jeffrey Zizz, Norman’s handyman, as a person of interest in her disappearance,” according to a Thurston County Sheriff’s Department statement.

Zizz had allegedly “recently built a shed at an unrelated property in Olympia the day after Marcia Norman was reporting missing,” the sheriff continued.
Last Wednesday, detectives found Norman’s remains “buried under the shed and partially encased in concrete,” the sheriff added.
Zizz fled Washington before he was picked up in Missoula, Montana, and held in connection with an “unrelated sex offense,” the sheriff said. The handyman has since been extradited back to Washington.
“Zizz remains in Thurston County Jail on a no bail hold for his child molestation sentencing violation warrant while Detectives finish gathering evidence,” the sheriff said.
“Zizz remains the primary person of interest in the ongoing investigation, and detectives are continuing to work closely with both the Thurston County Prosecutor’s and Coroner’s Offices.”
It wasn’t immediately clear Wednesday afternoon if Zizz had hired or been appointed an attorney to speak on his behalf.
